What's up all? I'm sure you have all either heard me talking about my game collection, or have seen pictures of it in the past. I started this thread because I wanted to try and get everybody to sign up at gamespot.com, so we can start a NEW UNION! I want to start the union, it will be a ALL GAMES union! Old school, classic, and new alike. I saw that Saiklo signed up at gamespot.com and I already added him to my friends list. I currently have a little over 1,200 games (not including PC games or imports). When I checked Saiklos profile, I saw that he had over 220 games giving him the CCC emblem or the collectors emblem if you want to call it that. I was unaware that there might be a few other people in this clan that may be interested in starting a collection. I can give any advice you need to get to where you want to be! Although I am still nowhere near my goal.
Lets start up a new union! It will not just be socom related though! Unless we can add a game collectors section here.
I think we need a game collectors/ all games talk section with a pull down menu of sorts that you can click on to discuss oldschool games (such as games for the NES, SNES, GEN, SAT, PS, N64, NEO GEO, etc. etc.), a section for last gen (including systems like PS2, GC, DC, etc.), and a section for current gen.
I want to get back into collecting games again, and it IS CONTAGIOUS! Once you know your friends collect you will more than likely get the bug to collect as well.
You can pick up MANY of the older games for legacy systems for pretty dang cheap. If you never collected before I would like you to know that you are missing out on a TON of great games.
I plan on starting my own website soon, where donations of games that people don't want anymore can be sent to me. All credit from who the games were sent from will be noted accordingly. That isn't the ultimate reason I want to star the site though. It will be a gaming shrine site of sorts. With a trade, but, sell, and rent section!
It will also have a game review section.
I plan on owning the worlds largest game collection some day, and opening up a walkthrough museum that will be directly tied to my website. Thank you for any and all support with ANY of my ideas!
