Introductions

Hello VOW,

Just wanted to take a sec to intro myself and let anyone do the same.

the Name is ALLAH I am not nor have I ever been Muslim so dont be offended or think bad thoughts other wise just thought the name would be funny to see trouncing around socom. Been playing socom since SC1 I came outta the OC clan orig my clan was folded into F/F played with them on SC3 but now its time to move onto greener pastures. Ive got 10 years in the Army served with the 101st screaming eagles for 3 yrs than the 75th Ranger Reg. 5 yrs and am now in the reserves trying to get to retirement with out getting killed in some flea infested desert wasteland of a country. any how im looking forward to the Tactical setup that Vow runs I think it will lend well to my game play and hopefully some of my battlefield knowledge will help out in the game. time will tell. Im looking forward to being a part of VOW and will help out kicking ass anyway possible.

What's up everybody, for those of you that do not know, I am the clan leader of VOW. I spent a ton of time on SOCOM games over the years, but didn't start playing a lot until about SOCOM 3 online. I know a lot of us are originally from UC or FF which for different reasons either left or felt it was time to move on between games.

I spent just under 4 years with 3/5 Lima out of San Mateo CA with the USMC. I did two combat tours in Iraq including both main pushes through Fallujah. I also spent time and cleared parts of Baghdad, Tikrit, and Habinayih. I was an 0311 (infantry) by training, but converted as an 0321 recon marine during my first deployment.

A ton of us here have a lot of combat experience or military training in general. I VOW to have a clan that wants to win, but play fair, and also check the drama and other bs at the door.

Some pics of me when in Iraq. (mostly camp India) A lot of my stories came from here and the surrounding area... this was a BAD PLACE to be... (I wanted to make the pics smaller... but I couldnt find a way, so... anyways here they are.

This is just a picture of me after a patrol back in Camp India, before we got attacked by the Shawani's. Since the Camp is surrounded with what I could most easily describe a castle wall, we had the green light to "armor down" sometimes....

Hey look... DUAL PRIMARIES (aka SOCOM 4) actually these are both M16A4's with tactical slings.... I hated slings and usually didn't have one on, unless we were doing covert ops and I had to sling my rifle on my back.

The conex boxes in the back are full of weapons. Anybody i told about camp India and the huge piles of confiscated weaponry, here a very small portion is. We were allowed to take at least two people to the range and fire any weapons we wanted! OORAH

I'm a tremendous faggot that lives in Okinawa, Japan, and I drive around in my Skyline picking up Japanese middle school girls while eating fried ice cream.

I enjoy sitting on my ass and watching hours of Japanese anime in one go and shooting up myself with mercury and antifreeze. I hope we all get along, but we probably won't since I hate all of you.

I'm 21 and I just joined VOW a week ago I think but thus far everyone I have met has been cool as hell. I'm probably one the only people in the clan that has not served in the military even though i wanted to. After high school I was forced into college (damn parents) but now I realize after hearing some of the stories of the hardships that our military has gone through in Iraq and Afghanistan I think I made the right decision. I'm proud of everyone that has served and the people that our currently serving, I wish them all well.

I've played every single socom since s1. I know alot about the game and the tactics involved in the game mechanics. I'm a run and gun type player. On the mic sometimes I will be a sarcastic prick and if you mess up I will probably harass you but don't take it personally because I joke around alot. If I mess up I expect to be harassed also. I hope to see everyone on s4 so we can kick some ass on a active (hopefully better) socom game. I would post a picture but I don't need you guys fantasizing about how good I look. I need everyone focused on 1 thing and 1 thing only, trying to get Witiswisdom to not miss a backshot for once in his life.

STARTED OUT IN THE T1 CLAN, LEFT TO HELP CREATE F/F, LEFT AT THE END OF SC2 DO TO BIGGDOGS OVERWHELMING EGO, JOINED UP WITH MWE WHO WAS AT THAT TIME ON TOP OF EVERY TOURNAMENT AROUND. MWE ENVETUALLY SPLIT HALF FOLLOWING Jeff Engel the Wanna Be Soldier TO CREATE UC AND REST OF US STAYED, AS MWE FADED OUT I JOINED BACK UP WITH F/F AND STAYED UNTIL CF PACK CAME OUT. JOINED UP WITH VOW AND BEEN LOYAL SINCE. I'M AN IN THE TRENCHES TYPE OF GUY HAD A FEW LEADERSHIP ROLES OVER THE YEARS BUT EVEN ON A GAME POLATICS ALWAYS SEEM TO GET IN THE WAY.

BRINGING TO THE CLAN: I'M ALREADY SET UP WITH A HAVA FOR RECORDING, GENERALLY WILL SHOOT VID AND MAKE PERSONAL VID'S FOR MEMBERS (IF WANTED). THE HAVA WAS MORE USED FOR PROOF IN THE URGET FURY TOURNAMENTS. LIKE I SAID, I HAVE DONE LEADERSHIP ROLES BEFORE IF NEEDED WILL BE WILLING TO HELP ANY SQUAD LEASDERS WITH ANYTHING THEY NEED OR THE CLAN WITH ANY TOURNAMENT REALTED ISSUES.

I have nothing to do with the military -

for the first 15 years of my life, however, I thought I would try to be a Navy Pilot, however, I'm color blind and the military wasn't worth it if I couldn't land on air craft carriers.

played S1 joining only tagless clans, of which there were almost none, but I ran with a bunch of different clans - S2 game out and I played it for a week or 2 then went back to S1 until S3 came out, at which point I was playing with real life friends on S1 so we all made the switch. One of them joined UC and the rest is history... (the 3 of my friends left the clan right away because of some BS and the leader's attitude, but I didn't want to be a clan of 4 anymore so I kept with it... until it finally got old and I couldn't pretend to care anymore.

Nice to hear a little about everybody! Nice thread Allah. I know we had something like this at the beginning of Confrontation, so way to be on the ball man. Keep them coming guys! To all new and established players alike, I would once again like to welcome you all to VOW. Punch and cookies are on the table in the fish market! Saiklo can whip up some sushi too..... lol
