What's up guys? In case you didn't know, I will be back and kicking in just a couple short weeks. I am checking in here to tell you about the game in the topic! It is very solid imo as far as the campaign goes. I have NOT played multiplayer yet, and as far as I know, you can only play matches up to 4v4. That kind of sucks, but at the same time, I love it Smile Why? Well, I love it because I would rather play with a small dedicated group that know the way everybody rolls, and that can play to each others strengths and weaknesses, and I hate it because sometimes a 8v8 allows people to not feel left out if you have enough people on.

Anyways though, Spec Ops the Line is a 3rd person shooter, and I must say that from what I have played so far, it is pretty damn clutch. I dont like not having a designated jump button or the sometimes clunky snap to cover system, but it feels a lot more fluid then SOCOM 4. It is looking good, and I will be looking to get my feet wet again (when I return to online gaming on the PS3) with this game!

I will still play some SOCOM, (I may try to get back into Confrontation a little as well), but this game has the potential to chew up a good portion of my game time! What I love about this game is that, you can go into cover, BUT firing out of cover is all but useless except at extremely close ranges (unlike the SOCOM 4 shoot across the map automatic headshot bullshit).

The tap x to run is kind of lame too, but overall something about the game just feels RIGHT ON, something I never really felt at any time with socom 4 unfortunately. Now, I'm not saying I didnt have some good times on S4, but I can already tell that this game has the potential to make for some truly fun online experiences.

Hit me up and let me know what you think!

Did I mention the campaign kicked ass? I played it on Suicide Mission (the hardest setting available the 1st time through) and unlocked 5 trophies at once upon the completion of the game... lol

If the multiplayer (which I usually like a LOT more in shooting games than the campaign), is anywhere near as good as the campaign then this will easily be the best 3rd person shooter on the market, and possibly the best for the past several years.

Game reviews (which I dont usually give a shit about) have rated this game as high as 9.5/10 although gamespot.com gave it a 6.5/10.... I have been a longtime member at gamespot, and that pissed me off. I got on and tore the reviewer a new one, and 3 out of 3 people have already agreed that I am right and the so called "professional" game reviewer is a jackass.... lol

Anyways, get the game, and by the time you finish the campaign, I should be getting close to getting my internet reconnected and ready to rock.

Catch you all soon, peace out! OORAH

The multiplayer isn't anywhere near as good as the campaign, but people do die when you shoot them.

The buggy cover system is even worse on multiplayer as users who are in cover adn then pop-out will just appear on your screen and then disappear as they return to cover...

Also there's not very many people playing it, probably because of the other reviews, but it's worth fucking around in for a while. It is better than SOCOM 4 and confrontation. The fact that people die when you shoot them is much more like SOCOM 1 but you can't run and shoot and can't jump at all...

They should make a co-op because the campaign is really fun even with the bugs.

One major flaw is that it is yet another OVER THE SHOULDER SHOOTER and in that respect it's one of the worst. If you want to switch shoulders, you have to hold the button. Reload and you switch back to the other side.

Scopes in the game are rediculous and shouldn't be used. There's no reason to use a sniper rifle because the guns are accurate enough to shoot from OTS. Scopes aren't available on most weapons so you get used to not looking throug them, when you do use them, it feels clunky and wrong.

There's no bullet drop but that's no surprise. Dice is the only mainstream game maker who seem to realize bullets are made of matter which is effected by gravity. There are other games, i.e. ARMA, which I am interested in playing but haven't put any time in to researching as it's a comptuer game and not a console game.

(BTW it's ARMA 2 or 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0OrcWBglEo )

I will play Spec Ops online, however. It's a decent distraction from Battlefield 3. I'd rather play Battlefield 2 on the PC but it's still fun.

I figured I would post this twice to let you guys know that my reconnection is slated for 1 week from today! So, next Thursday I will be back and running Smile Anyways, my new internet provider is 6 up and 6 down which is over three times faster then my previous internet provider. See you guys soon! Hopefully this time around the lag wont screw me up so much, and we can dominate the way it should have been from the start. I know that 3 times the speed can not be a bad thing!

Mine was testing 89 down and 10 up when I first got it.

Now it's set at 30 down and 5 up which is what I'm paying for.... when it was 89 down and 10 up and I tested it via the PS3 I only got MAX 20 down and 5 up.. this means that PSN is maxed out at about 20 to 25Mbps so anything more than that for PSN is a waste...
