What's up guys? In case you didn't know, I will be back and kicking in just a couple short weeks. I am checking in here to tell you about the game in the topic! It is very solid imo as far as the campaign goes. I have NOT played multiplayer yet, and as far as I know, you can only play matches up to 4v4. That kind of sucks, but at the same time, I love it
Why? Well, I love it because I would rather play with a small dedicated group that know the way everybody rolls, and that can play to each others strengths and weaknesses, and I hate it because sometimes a 8v8 allows people to not feel left out if you have enough people on.
Anyways though, Spec Ops the Line is a 3rd person shooter, and I must say that from what I have played so far, it is pretty damn clutch. I dont like not having a designated jump button or the sometimes clunky snap to cover system, but it feels a lot more fluid then SOCOM 4. It is looking good, and I will be looking to get my feet wet again (when I return to online gaming on the PS3) with this game!
I will still play some SOCOM, (I may try to get back into Confrontation a little as well), but this game has the potential to chew up a good portion of my game time! What I love about this game is that, you can go into cover, BUT firing out of cover is all but useless except at extremely close ranges (unlike the SOCOM 4 shoot across the map automatic headshot bullshit).
The tap x to run is kind of lame too, but overall something about the game just feels RIGHT ON, something I never really felt at any time with socom 4 unfortunately. Now, I'm not saying I didnt have some good times on S4, but I can already tell that this game has the potential to make for some truly fun online experiences.
Hit me up and let me know what you think!
Did I mention the campaign kicked ass? I played it on Suicide Mission (the hardest setting available the 1st time through) and unlocked 5 trophies at once upon the completion of the game... lol
If the multiplayer (which I usually like a LOT more in shooting games than the campaign), is anywhere near as good as the campaign then this will easily be the best 3rd person shooter on the market, and possibly the best for the past several years.
Game reviews (which I dont usually give a shit about) have rated this game as high as 9.5/10 although gamespot.com gave it a 6.5/10.... I have been a longtime member at gamespot, and that pissed me off. I got on and tore the reviewer a new one, and 3 out of 3 people have already agreed that I am right and the so called "professional" game reviewer is a jackass.... lol
Anyways, get the game, and by the time you finish the campaign, I should be getting close to getting my internet reconnected and ready to rock.
Catch you all soon, peace out! OORAH
